Three Southeast Asian SaaS tools, one tracking cycle. One fee cut, two feature releases, zero enterprise-tier changes.
Maya Business (Philippines)
- 2026-07-04: Maya announced it is lowering its InstaPay transfer fee to other banks from P15 to P10, effective 2026-07-06. Source: Philstar.com (2026-07-04), GMA News Online, Context.ph.
- Maya-to-Maya transfers remain free and instant. PESONet bank transfers remain free, subject to standard processing schedules.
- Context: the cut followed Bank of the Philippine Islands permanently waiving InstaPay/PESONet fees starting 2026-07-01, and Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. offering free InstaPay transfers through its Pulz and DiskarTech platforms from 2026-07-04. GCash also reduced its InstaPay fee in the same window, per Inquirer.
- Pricing: no change to Maya Business merchant QR, payment-link, or card-acceptance fees found this cycle. The P15-to-P10 cut applies to InstaPay outbound transfers, not merchant collection rates.
A P5 cut on outbound transfers looks small until you count how often a merchant moves float between wallets and a settlement bank. This wasn't Maya moving first -- BPI waived its own fees two days earlier, and RCBC matched on the same day Maya announced. Read as a group: four institutions moved on InstaPay pricing inside a single week, which points to a market response to BPI's move rather than four separate strategy calls.
Midtrans (Indonesia)
- July 2026: Payment Link now supports sharing in QR format for direct payment-link access, alongside copyable text templates. Source: docs.midtrans.com Payment Link documentation.
- July 2026: Promo Management now supports voucher-code-based campaigns, with two redemption types -- single voucher (one generic code redeemable once) and bulk vouchers (a batch of unique codes for a campaign). Source: docs.midtrans.com Promo Management documentation.
- Deprecation: Midtrans's Mobile SDK is no longer receiving new feature development or integration support, per current product documentation. Existing integrations continue to function; merchants building new mobile checkout flows are directed to newer integration paths.
- Pricing: no published transaction-fee or tier changes found this cycle. Midtrans continues to support 25+ local payment methods including GoPay, QRIS (OVO, ShopeePay, DANA, LinkAja), bank virtual accounts, cards, and PayLater.
QR-format payment links close a real gap for in-person and social-commerce sellers who currently paste a URL into chat. A generated QR next to the register is one less copy-paste step for a customer scanning a code instead of typing a link. The Mobile SDK deprecation is the more consequential change for platform teams already integrated -- no immediate breakage, but no forward investment either, which means new build decisions should route elsewhere.
Osome (Singapore)
- 2026-07-27: Osome launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, letting founders query company data -- transactions, shareholder records, financial reports -- directly through Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini instead of logging into the Osome dashboard. Source: PR Newswire APAC (2026-07-27), Manila Times, Macau Business.
- The launch cites Dubai-based Aesty and Hong Kong-based Angelflow, two Osome customers, reporting bookkeeping time cut from roughly a week to about two hours a month after adopting the MCP integration.
- Background: the MCP launch follows a January 2026 leadership change -- Eugenio Ferrante was named CEO, succeeding Victor Lysenko -- and record customer-revenue growth in November-December 2025 (100% and 85% YoY respectively). Those items fall outside this tracker's 30-60 day window and are noted for context only, not as new items this cycle.
- Pricing: no published tier or fee changes found this cycle.
An MCP server is a distribution bet, not a pricing move -- Osome is wagering that founders increasingly ask an AI assistant for a number instead of opening a dashboard, and wants to be the data source that assistant queries. Whether that habit forms is unproven; the two customer references are early and small.
Coverage note
Research window: 2026-06-20 to 2026-08-19, the last 30-60 days. All three items -- Maya's fee cut, Midtrans's July releases, and Osome's MCP launch -- fall inside that window with dated, sourced confirmation. No pricing-tier changes were found for any of the three tools this cycle; only Maya's InstaPay transfer fee moved, and that's a payout fee, not a subscription or merchant-rate change.
