A Jakarta warehouse manager running a mid-size marketplace store checked her Xendit invoice this month and did a double take at a line item she had never seen before. Three SEA vendors made moves this cycle worth tracking: one on pricing, one on delivery operations, one on airline payments. Here is what shipped, sourced and dated, through 2026-08-22.
Xendit
Effective October 1, 2026, Xendit is rolling out a new Processing Fee that applies to every transaction attempt, including ones that fail outright. That last detail is easy to miss and expensive to ignore. Source: Xendit Pricing Policy.
For QRIS payments in Indonesia, the fee adds 0.7% plus $0.20 on top of whatever the existing method fee already costs. A single QRIS transaction worth IDR 500,000 will carry roughly IDR 3,500 from the percentage cut, plus another IDR 3,200 from the flat $0.20 add-on. Virtual Account transactions get a lighter surcharge: 0.5% plus $0.20 on top of the standard rate.
Two new account-level fees also start that day. Accounts idle for more than 180 days, or invoicing under $50 a month, get hit with a $50 Monthly Minimum Fee. Merchants still running Xendit's legacy API face a $250 Monthly Maintenance Fee until they migrate to the current Payments and Payouts API.
Charging failed attempts is the part that will actually sting. A payment gateway timing out during a flash sale in Surabaya was already a lost sale, and now it comes with a fee attached on top of the lost revenue. Merchants in Bandung and Jakarta running high transaction volume through QRIS should model this cost before October, not after the first invoice lands.
The legacy-API fee is the one worth flagging to a technical team early rather than discovering in a November invoice. $250 a month works out to roughly IDR 4,000,000 for an Indonesian merchant still budgeting fees in dollars, and that charge recurs every month until someone finishes the migration. A finance lead in Jakarta comparing gateway quotes should factor in the migration engineering time too, not just the invoice line item Xendit publishes.
Sapo
Sapo shipped two updates on 2026-07-17, both aimed at sellers running Shopee and TikTok Shop orders out of Ho Chi Minh City warehouses. Source: Sapo Feature Updates.
The first lets sellers customize delivery slip templates, adding pick, pack, and procedure fields without editing every order by hand. The second folds Platform Cost Management directly into the profit report, so a seller can compare Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Lazada channel costs against margin on one screen instead of exporting three spreadsheets.
Delivery slip customization looks like a minor feature, but it removes a manual step a Hanoi fulfillment team was repeating for every single order shipped through TikTok Shop. That kind of unglamorous fix rarely gets its own press release, yet it can save more staff hours a week than a flashier product launch does.
Folding cost reconciliation into the profit report is the more useful change of the two, though. A Da Nang seller running all three marketplaces has been stitching that comparison together by hand for years, and every manual export is one more chance to get a number wrong. A seller tracking VND 3,500,000 in weekly TikTok Shop sales alongside Shopee and Lazada numbers needs one screen, not three spreadsheets fighting each other.
2C2P (by Antom)
On 2026-05-29, 2C2P, operating under Ant International's Antom, signed a payments partnership with Vietnam Airlines at the Vietnam-Singapore Tech Connect Forum. Source: The Paypers, VIR.
The deployment runs on 2C2P's Payment Air Controller platform, which routes each transaction across multiple acquirers through a single API integration with automated retry logic built in. Vietnam Airlines plans to roll out local payment methods across eight markets starting in the second half of 2026: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Hong Kong.
Automated retry logic sounds like a minor detail until a Manila traveler's card gets declined mid-booking for no real reason and the airline loses the sale anyway. A Bangkok-based payment company fixing that failure mode for an airline is a more useful story than the partnership announcement itself. A one-way Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo fare priced around VND 8,200,000 is exactly the booking that used to fail silently on a foreign card before local routing like this existed.
Kuala Lumpur-based travelers booking Vietnam Airlines flights should see local payment options land sometime after the second half of 2026 begins, rather than getting routed through a foreign-currency card process by default. Whether that rollout stays on schedule across all eight markets is the detail worth checking back on later this year.
Notes on scope
KiotViet was also researched this cycle: pricing page, delivery updates, e-invoice and VietQR integration. Nothing on record inside the last 60 days carried a confirmed date, and its most recent verifiable price change dates back to April 24, 2025. It was left out of this cycle in favor of 2C2P, which had a dated update inside the window.
Anyone tracking these three should watch Xendit's October 1 fee change first. It touches every merchant processing payment volume in Indonesia, and the failed-attempt charge is the line item most likely to surprise someone checking an invoice in November.
