A payroll manager in Kuala Lumpur renewing three EOR contracts this month messaged us asking whether Multiplier's price actually moved or whether her finance team was reading an old quote. Short answer: it moved. Here's what changed across Multiplier, Employment Hero, and Peddlr in the last stretch of tracking.
Multiplier
- Pricing: Base EOR (Employer of Record) tier now lists at $400/employee/month as of Jun 29, 2026, up from the $300/employee/month figure this database recorded on 2026-05-06. That's a real jump, not a typo, and worth flagging to whoever owns the vendor budget line (roughly MYR 1,760/employee/month at current rates, for reference).
- Volume terms soften the blow: teams of 15+ employees on annual billing can negotiate the effective rate back down to $300-$350/employee/month. If you're anywhere near that headcount in Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta, push for it before signing โ Multiplier's sales team won't offer the discount unless you ask.
- Contractor management fee stays flat at $40/contractor/month (checked Jun 29, 2026) โ about SGD 54 at today's conversion, unchanged since our last check.
- Apr 30, 2026: Multiplier launched Global Payroll Payments, powered by fintech Navro. It adds a payments layer on top of the existing EOR, payroll, and compliance modules under a "Global Exchange for Work" banner. That's just outside our 60-day window, but it's the newest confirmed feature release we found.
- Apr 28, 2026: named a Leader in EOR in The IEC Group's EOR Study 2026, and separately cited in market coverage as the #1 global EOR provider in 2026 against 130+ platforms. Take vendor-awards season with a grain of salt, but the volume of coverage does suggest Multiplier isn't shrinking.
- Feb 24, 2026: launched "Multiplier Locals," a community, plus a Partner Perks discount marketplace for customers.
- No Shopee, TikTok Shop, VietQR, PromptPay, or GCash integrations turned up in this check โ not surprising, since none of those fit an EOR/payroll product anyway.
Employment Hero
- Pricing holds steady: the Standard plan is still $8/employee/month, matching the $8 baseline we recorded on 2026-05-18. It comes with full HR and payroll functionality โ roughly PHP 460/employee/month if you're budgeting in pesos.
- Premium adds $3/employee/month more (about $11/employee/month total, or close to IDR 170,000), which buys unlimited public courses and custom workflows. The free "Hiring Essential" plan is still around for teams that just need applicant tracking, and it's the right call for a five-person team in Cebu that doesn't need the AI extras yet. Nothing moved on price between May 6 and Jul 6, 2026.
- Mar 30, 2026: Employment Hero launched Recruitment Agent, powered by "Hero AI," for Canadian SMB customers. It automates first-round screening interviews through a structured, AI-led video conversation. Employment Hero says this cuts screening time by 75% and shaves up to 10 days off time-to-hire. Bold numbers โ we'd want a second customer's data before fully trusting a 75% cut in screening time.
- The same release shipped "Ask Hero AI," a platform-wide assistant that gives employers instant access to policy guidance and HR support without leaving the product.
- April 2026 brought HeroForce, which runs three AI agents at once: one for recruitment and candidate matching, one for payroll that interprets modern-award rules and runs the calculations. The third is an HR guidance bot covering everything from hiring through termination.
- Both AI releases sit 6-13 weeks before this check, just outside our strict 30-60 day window, and we didn't find anything newer dated after April 2026.
- Still no Shopee, TikTok Shop, VietQR, PromptPay, or GCash integrations in this window. The existing SEA payroll-compliance coverage โ Malaysia's EPF/SOCSO/PCB, Singapore's CPF/IR8A, Vietnam's PIT/SHUI โ hasn't changed since the 2026-05-18 baseline either.
Peddlr
- May 27, 2026: Peddlr's app store listing added Peddlr Lite, a slimmed-down version built around selling digital products โ prepaid load, bills payment, game pins. It also collects customer payments through QRPH, the Philippines' national QR payment standard.
- That QRPH acceptance runs through Peddlr's existing Kankolek digital-wallet feature. Think of QRPH as the Philippine equivalent of VietQR or PromptPay, just under a different name.
- "MalaCash" is confirmed live in the current app build, handing out bonus rewards on e-load top-ups and sales, though we couldn't verify an exact launch date from primary sources.
- Pricing hasn't moved: POS, inventory, and bookkeeping stay free (still $0/month), consistent with the 2026-06-15 baseline. Peddlr makes its money instead on e-load, bills payment, B2B restocking, and payment-processing fees โ worth reading the fine print before assuming "free" means free.
- No new enterprise tier and no fresh Shopee or TikTok Shop integrations turned up in the May 6-Jul 6, 2026 window.
If you're comparing all three this week, here's the short version. Multiplier's price hike is the one to renegotiate before you sign. Employment Hero's screening-time numbers need a second data point before anyone trusts them fully. And Peddlr's "free" plan is really a transaction-fee business wearing a free badge. None of that changes whether you're running payroll out of Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, or Manila โ the fine print just moves to a different line item on the invoice.
