What Ecommerce Platform Supports PromptPay? (2026)
No major storefront platform documents native PromptPay — it reaches your checkout through a Thai-licensed payment gateway. What Shopify, Shopline and WooCommerce actually publish, checked against each vendor's own page.
This is the wrong layer to ask about, and that is the useful answer. PromptPay is a Bank of Thailand QR standard, and storefront platforms do not hold the licence to accept it — a payment gateway does. So no major ecommerce platform documents native PromptPay support, and a directory that tells you one does is worth checking against the vendor's own page. In practice, on Shopify, WooCommerce and Shopline alike, PromptPay arrives once you connect a Thai-licensed gateway. Two gateways publish PromptPay support on their own surfaces: HitPay announced PromptPay online checkout in its product changelog, and Xendit runs a dedicated QR PromptPay payment-channel page with documented THB transaction limits. Opn Payments (formerly Omise) and GB Prime Pay (acquired by Xendit; gbprimepay.com now redirects there) are the other names Thai sellers meet. Shopline is worth naming because it is widely described as having native PromptPay. It does not publish that. Its own help centre returns no results for PromptPay, its payment-partner page names PayPal, OceanPayment and ATOME without mentioning Thailand at all, and its Thailand payment-country URL redirects to a generic pricing page. Shopline's LINE Official Account support is genuinely deep — roughly 370 help-centre articles — so choose it for LINE, not for payments.
| Platform or gateway | Native PromptPay documented by the vendor? | How PromptPay actually reaches checkout |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | No | Connect a Thai-licensed gateway (HitPay, Xendit, Opn Payments) |
| Shopline | No — help centre returns zero results for PromptPay | Not published by the vendor; confirm directly before assuming a gateway is bundled |
| WooCommerce | No | Gateway plugin, same licensed-gateway requirement as Shopify |
| HitPay | Yes — announced in its own product changelog | Enabled in Settings, then rendered at online checkout and on POS |
| Xendit | Yes — dedicated QR PromptPay payment-channel page | Single integration, THB-denominated, reusable QR |
The Tools in Detail
HitPay
Finance · Paid · Free tier · Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines · EN / ZH / MS / ID
HitPay is a Singapore-headquartered payment platform designed specifically for SMEs and micro-merchants in Southeast Asia. It provides a comprehensive suite of payment tools, including a payment gateway for e-commerce, physical POS terminals, and a link-based payment system, supporting local payment methods like PayNow, GrabPay, and DuitNow.
HitPay is a payment provider for SEA SMEs, but its merchant footprint is narrower than its payment-method list suggests: its pricing page offers Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Global as merchant countries, and QRIS is not priced anywhere on it. Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam appear only under Cross-Border Payments, where an Indonesian, Thai or Vietnamese customer pays a Singapore, Malaysian or Philippine merchant in their own local method (IDR 2% online / 1.5% in-person for Indonesia, THB 3.4% online for Thailand) with a 1% FX markup at settlement. Read the QRIS, PromptPay, VietQR and QRPH support below as customer-side acceptance, not as domestic acquiring in those markets. Its domestic Singapore rates, read on 2026-09-14: PayNow 0.65% + SGD 0.30 on transactions of SGD 100 and above and 0.9% with a SGD 0.20 minimum below that, domestic cards 2.8% + SGD 0.50, international cards 3.65% + SGD 0.50 with a 2% foreign-currency fee, WeChat Pay 1.5%, Shopback 3.9% + SGD 0.20, ShopeePay Later 5%, Atome 5.5%, no setup or monthly fee. PayNow is the cheapest method on the page, at under a quarter of the domestic card rate.
Best for: SMEs and micro-merchants in Singapore and Malaysia; E-commerce sellers needing a simple payment integration; Service-based businesses using payment links; Retailers looking for an affordable omnichannel solution
Xendit
Payments · Paid · Free tier · ID, PH, MY, TH, VN, SG, HK · EN / ID
Xendit is a payments platform operating in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong, offering 100+ payment methods: cards, e-wallets (OVO, GoPay, GCash, Maya, ShopeePay), QRIS, QR PH, virtual accounts and more. Pricing is per transaction (a processing fee plus a payment-method or payout fee) with free sign-up; it is licensed by the Bank of Thailand, and Xendit Philippines Inc and XenRemit, Inc are regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Xendit publishes one rate card covering Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong, so a team expanding from Indonesia into the Philippines keeps one provider for QRIS, QR PH and the regional e-wallets. It is licensed by the Bank of Thailand, and its Philippine entities are regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Sign-up is free; every fee is per transaction.
Best for: Indonesian e-commerce and SaaS; Philippines digital businesses; SEA-wide marketplaces; Subscription startups across the region
SEA Operational Reasoning
PromptPay acceptance is a licensing question, not a platform feature. The storefront renders the QR; a Thai-licensed gateway settles the funds and takes the merchant discount rate. Picking the platform first and treating the gateway as an afterthought is what leaves Thai sellers reconciling bank-slip screenshots by hand.

The questions operators actually ask.
Does Shopify support PromptPay natively?
No. You connect a regional gateway such as HitPay, Xendit or Opn Payments, and that gateway generates the PromptPay QR at checkout. Shopify itself publishes no PromptPay support.
Does Shopline have native PromptPay?
Shopline publishes no PromptPay support anywhere we can find. Its own help centre returns no results for PromptPay, its payment-partner page lists PayPal, OceanPayment and ATOME without naming Thailand, and its Thailand payment-country URL redirects to a general pricing page (checked 21 August 2026). Its LINE Official Account support is a different story and is documented across roughly 370 help-centre articles, so Shopline remains a strong Thai pick for LINE-led selling — just not on payments.
Which gateway should a Thai seller start with?
Both HitPay and Xendit document PromptPay on their own pages, so either is a defensible starting point, and the decision usually comes down to the rest of your stack rather than the QR itself — which platforms each one plugs into, what the merchant discount rate is on your volume, and how fast onboarding clears. Ask each for current pricing in writing; published rates move faster than any directory can track.
Why do so many comparisons claim a platform has native PromptPay?
Because bundling reads well in a feature table and almost nobody checks it against the vendor's own documentation. The test that settles it takes a minute: search the platform's help centre for PromptPay, then open its payment-partner or payment-methods page and look for Thailand. If neither names it, the platform is not the thing accepting PromptPay.
