Nexmedis

AI · Paid · Indonesia

Nexmedis is a Jakarta, Indonesia-headquartered health-tech company, founded in August 2023, that builds an AI-powered cloud Health Information System (HIS) and EMR for clinics and hospitals. The platform covers clinical documentation, pharmacy, laboratory, HR, and inventory management, and its flagship AI feature is a Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tool that generates ICD-10-coded diagnostic recommendations. Nexmedis is built specifically around Indonesia's national health insurance system, supporting documentation and claims workflows for BPJS Kesehatan and private insurers, and serves 400+ Indonesian healthcare facilities.

Nexmedis is built around Indonesia's specific healthcare and insurance regulatory environment, with documentation and claims workflows designed for BPJS Kesehatan and private Indonesian insurers, and recognition under the Ministry of Health's AI Regulatory Sandbox and as a Komdigi digital-health partner. It does not publicly claim coverage outside Indonesia, and its value is concentrated in deep alignment with Indonesian healthcare compliance rather than broad regional reach.

APSX Platform

Healthcare · Paid · Free tier · SEA

APSX Platform is a Thai clinic and healthcare management system from APSTH, a software company based in Khon Kaen rather than Bangkok. It covers a wider set of facility types than most of its competitors — general and specialist clinics, hospitals, wellness centres, spa and beauty businesses, and elderly care centres — all on the same platform. The clinical side handles OPD records, drug stock with automatic deduction and expiry alerts, and lab and X-ray result capture. The commercial side runs CRM with LINE chat, multi-branch management under a single user, per-branch profit and loss, role-based permissions, a basic chart of accounts, and doctor, nurse and staff commission calculated several different ways. It also ships a Thai national ID card reader driver, publishes API documentation and maintains a public changelog.

APSX covers a breadth of facility types that most Thai clinic systems do not attempt — clinics, hospitals, wellness, spa and beauty, and elderly care on one platform — which matters as Thai operators diversify into wellness and aged care alongside a core clinic. Thai national ID card reading is a genuinely local requirement: registering a patient by scanning a national ID card is standard practice in Thai facilities and has no equivalent in Western clinic software. The vendor is based in Khon Kaen rather than Bangkok, and publishes API documentation and a changelog, which is more technical transparency than most Thai clinic vendors offer.

Assist.id

Healthcare · Paid · SEA, Indonesia

Assist.id is an Indonesian electronic medical record (rekam medis elektronik, RME) and health-facility management platform. Its positioning is regulatory rather than featural: it bridges BPJS Kesehatan for claims and integrates with SATUSEHAT, the Ministry of Health's national health-data platform, and the vendor claims the record for the most clinic integrations to SATUSEHAT. Coverage runs across facility types most clinic software treats as separate products — praktek mandiri, klinik pratama and utama, beauty clinics, dental clinics, haemodialysis centres, hospitals, puskesmas, laboratories and veterinary clinics. The vendor states more than 6,000 health facilities use it.

Indonesia is the clearest case in Southeast Asia of clinic software being selected by the regulator and the payer rather than by feature comparison. SATUSEHAT is the Ministry of Health's national health-data platform, and BPJS Kesehatan is the payer behind a large share of clinic income — a system that does neither is not a candidate regardless of how good its interface is. Assist.id sells on exactly that basis, calling itself a Satu Sehat Champion and claiming the most clinic integrations. The trade-off is the mirror image: nothing about it transfers to Thailand, Malaysia or the Philippines, whose payer and reporting regimes share no plumbing with Indonesia's.

Bewhy

Healthcare · From THB 20000/year · SEA

Bewhy is a cloud practice-management platform built for Thai clinics, covering online booking, electronic medical records, modular billing and stock control in one system. It was designed with input from Thai physicians and aimed squarely at small and medium clinics rather than hospitals, and it is one of the few clinic systems in Thailand that publishes a price on its own site instead of routing every enquiry to a sales call. Billing is double-entry and handles doctor fee (Dr Fee) splits, treatment courses, bundles and tax automatically — the calculations Thai clinic owners usually run in a parallel spreadsheet. Multi-branch operators can choose per branch what patient, stock or other data is shared with partner clinics, which is the feature franchise groups actually ask about.

Thailand's clinic software market is quote-driven — nearly every vendor hides pricing behind a demo booking, which makes it hard for a clinic owner to budget before committing to a sales conversation. Bewhy publishes THB 20,000 per year on its pricing page and offers a 60-day trial, which is unusually long for the category. It is also explicit about being built for small and medium Thai clinics with Thai physician input, rather than being a hospital information system scaled down. LINE-based appointment reminders matter here because LINE is the default patient communication channel in Thailand, and no-shows are the cost line most Thai clinic owners raise first.

DoctorEase

Healthcare · From THB 2590/month · SEA

DoctorEase is a clinic management system from Atiz Innovation Co., Ltd., a Thai company that has been building customer, medical-record and hospital IT systems since 2017. It covers paperless OPD records, POS billing, stock, membership and points, packages and prepaid courses, doctor and staff compensation, and Thai tax documents — abbreviated and full tax invoices included. What separates it in the Thai market is the LINE layer on its middle tier: it connects the clinic's own LINE Official Account, designs the LINE rich menu, and runs customer segmentation for recall campaigns over LINE and SMS. Each clinic runs on its own private cloud instance, and the tiers differ mainly by user count and storage rather than by feature amputation.

DoctorEase is one of the few Thai clinic systems that treats LINE as infrastructure rather than a notification afterthought — the Standard tier includes connecting the clinic's LINE Official Account and designing its rich menu, and recall campaigns segment patients for LINE and SMS. That matters because Thai clinics acquire and retain through LINE, not email. The vendor, Atiz Innovation, has been operating over 15 years and moved into hospital and medical-record systems in 2017, which is a longer track record than most entrants in the Thai clinic-software category. Pricing is published in monthly tiers, and the tier list explicitly covers the Thai document set — abbreviated and full tax invoices — that a clinic needs for its accountant.

SeriousMD

Healthcare · Freemium · Free tier · SEA, Philippines

SeriousMD is an electronic medical records and clinic management platform built for the Philippines. It covers patient records with customizable notes, vitals and diagnostic results, an appointment calendar with built-in queueing, e-prescriptions, SOAP notes and telemedicine by video, audio or chat with side-by-side note-taking. Two things separate it from the rest of the SEA clinic category: it works offline, which matters where connectivity is unreliable, and it publishes a price list that includes a free tier — every Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian system reviewed alongside it either quotes on request or starts in the tens of thousands of baht a year.

The Philippine private-practice model is unusual in the region: a doctor commonly holds hours at several clinics rather than owning one, and a large share of consultations are settled through HMO coverage rather than cash or PhilHealth alone. SeriousMD is shaped around both — unlimited clinics and devices on every plan, and HMO claims tracking as a named feature. It is also the clearest counter-example to the assumption that SEA clinic software is quote-only: Basic is free, and Pro is published at PHP 1,950 a month or PHP 22,788 a year.
